Book to Movie

There are several great books that are turned into great movies. But there are more great books turned into movies that either have almost nothing to do with the book or just aren't as good.
I, Robot is one of the books turned into a movie that has almost nothing to do with the book. Other than the Three Laws of Robotics and the names of the characters it's insanely different.
I, Robot the book by Isaac Asimov took place mostly in outer space. The movie took place in Chicago. The book took place over a timespan of 50 years. The movie took place over a couple of weeks. The book was a collection of stories while the movie was one story.
I think the movie was so different from the book because it had to make money and get an audience that wouldn't typically read the book. I think it did a good job of that but didn't do the book justice.
Although I enjoyed both the book and the movie, they were completely different. I think they should have had more about the book in the movie.

Teen Impact

Link to article: http://viewer.zmags.com/showmag.php?mid=wqddhg#/page60/
This poem and layout tried to appeal to emotion a lot. Its main goal is to connect to the reader and have them relate to the message of the poem- life isn't always fair.
The poem uses the technique of appealing to emotion. The effect it attempts is having the readers connect to the meaning of the poem. The poem is about trying to do the right thing but having things turn against them. It happens to a lot of people and the poem tries to appeal to that idea.
The layout also uses the technique of appealing to emotion. Having the girl shown appear as a normal, everyday teenager makes the reader (teens) more able to relate to the article.

What An American Is

It's hard to describe precisely what an American is. There are many different types of Americans. Some are patriotic and proud to be an American; some aren't. Americans are part of a powerful and growing nation. Americans are consumers, though they should think about what they're consuming. Americans tend to think of themselves as being part of the greatest country in the world. Americans are dependent on other countries, as others are on America. Americans live in a democracy, and a free country. Americans today are busy with everyday lives, all striving for the American dream. A great life is possible in America because of the hard work of past Americans and present Americans.
